E-commerce Development - Meridian Line Ltd

SoftDesign developed a fully functional Internet Commerce Shopping Centre for Meridian Line Ltd called 'The Meridian Experience' originally based on the Millennium Dome and the Greenwich 2000 theme. Once you enter the virtual Dome (the site), the user has access to one of 12 different zones (categories of shops) with a total hosting in excess of 30 shops. The operator Meridian Line Ltd wanted a common look and feel across all the shops, so that the site would look harmonious to the user with the option of freely moving from shop to shop through a common interface (look, feel and navigation), with one payment transaction at the checkout for all the goods and services chosen from the different shops. The site was built in such a way that it is relatively easy to add new shops on-line and make alterations to catalogues by both the Meridian Line operators or the shop owner.
