Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence - DMH Stallard

DMH Stallard a Top 100 Law Firm based in Brighton and Crawley use the Axxia Practice Management System for Accounting and Case Management. The Firm wanted some beskope customisation to enable them to attain maximum benefit from the system.

Knowing SoftDesign were experts on Axxia, they approached us with regards to the possibility of carrying out a number of Axxia development projects. The initial project consisted on extracting and manipulating their data to produce Excel reports that could be published on their Intranet and therefore easily accessed by all employees.

Working closely with DMH Stallard, we designed a Data Warehousing system that seamlessly gets populated from their existing Axxia data. The system works by extracting the relevant data from the appropriate tables in the Informix database and storing it in a warehousing workstation. This data can then be processed and reformed for the production of a series of daily management reports which are then converted to Excel (this is DMH Stallard's preferred format and reports can be published in Word or HTML as well) and published on their intranet.
