Outsourcing Service - Vizards Wyeth

SoftDesign and Vizards Wyeth, a medium-sized legal firm of 180 staff in London, Dartford and Paris, agreed on a bespoke outsourcing plan reflecting Vizard Wyeth's strong IT commitment.

SoftDesign offered in addition a powerful management team and a substantial reduction in IT expenditure without any loss of control usually associated with such outsourcing strategies. The agreement included an ongoing commitment to key members of the former IT department, thus offering continuity of service.

SoftDesign implemented a positive management structure instilling good team spirit and made a major commitment to increasing the service level to users. Progressive improvements were achieved through the re-configuration and standardisation of the desktop and server environments, as well as the adoption of new techniques for central management, both in terms of fault fixing and software distribution. SoftDesign also made major improvements to the Helpdesk reporting system to improve the management of faults, not only in terms of their resolution but also in the provision of management reports to allow better monitoring progress. Vizards Wyeth benefited from a major reduction in IT and Telephony expenditure, with man-hours of senior management time released back to the business.
